Lesson 10: The Ten Commandments

Moses ascended Mount Sinai and God spoke to him through a burning bush

Moses:

• Was a Master that really existed
• Moses literally means: “He who was saved from the waters”

Waters symbolize:

• The sexual energies
• Emotions
• Life and life’s problems

Mount Sinai:

• Is the symbol of the Astral plane.
• In esoterism, a mountain is always the symbol of the astral plane.

The burning bush:

• The bush is the symbol of the Tree of Life.

• Fire is the symbol of God-Spirit.

• The Tree of Life shows us the levels/planes that exist in the Universe and in Man.

• The 10 Commandments relate with the 10 Sefirots of the Tree of Life.

• When we fulfill the 10 Commandments then, two things happen:

  • We live in Harmony with the Infinite (with the 10 Sefirots).
  • We stop taking more Karma.

(1) To Love God above all things and our neighbour as ourselves.

• God is in ourselves: it is the Inner Being of everyone.
• To love Him above all things we must have the inner work as a priority in our lives
• To love our neighbour means: to love this Divine Principle, not only in ourselves but also in the others.

(2) Let us not swear in His Holy Name in vain

• When someone abuses speech in any way, violates the 2nd Commandment
  • Lies, blasphemies or bad words, words that offend or hurt, gossip, chatter, etc..
  • When we say something we are obliged to fulfill it.

(3) Let us Sanctify the Holy Days.

• There are certain astronomical dates on which some energies related to the Mysteries and Cosmic Drama, are expressed on the planet.
• For each person his personal celebrations are the triumphs of his Spirit and Soul.

(4) Let us Honor our Father and our Mother

• The Father is Wisdom and Strictness
  • In order to honor the Father we must eliminate our psychological defects
• The Mother is Love and Purity
  • In order to honor the Mother we must be pure in thought, word and deed

(5) Not to Kill.

• We do not kill with just a knife or a bullet. We can also kill with:
  • An ironic word, contempt, betrayal, ignorance, slander, etc.

(6) Not to lose our Energies.

• One can lose his/her mental, emotional, kinetic or sexual energies
  • The most important are the sexual energies.

(7) Not to steal.

• Anything, no matter how insignificant, should not be taken, otherwise this Universal Principle is violated and the sword of Divine Justice will fall on us.

(8) Not to give false testimonies and not to lie.

• Lie is:
  • To pretend in order to gain some benefit or to be liked by others.
  • To say something that we ourselves have not verified.
  • To distort the facts or to exaggerate.

(9) Not to desire the woman (or the man) of our neighbour

• When a couple has sex, they magnetize each other
  • If one of the two has sex with a different partner, then a catastrophic mix of energies occurs

(10) Not to desire the goods of our neighbour.

• We must use on the physical level, everything we need, but without identifying with things
