Lesson 11: Fundamental Education

The purpose of Fundamental Education is to know ourselves and to awaken our Consciousness.

The child’s education begins from the moment of conception.
- During the months of pregnancy the baby is physically and psychologically shaped by the mother’s imagination.

The Moon is associated with motherhood and home.
- At this age the child stays at home with its mother.
In this period the Personality is created.
- Personality is created by the home environment, street life and school.
In order for the personality to develop properly, we need to cultivate its three aspects:
- Thought: (intellectual brain) teachings via lectures and study.
- Emotion: (emotional brain) teachings via Art.
- Movement: (kinetic brain) teachings via movement, dances, games, etc.
The child’s personality and Essence need to be developed in balance.
- The harmonious development of Essence and personality results in intelligent people.

Mercury (Hermes) is related to the mind, learning, movement, short journeys, etc.
- The child now begins to make short “trips”, to school, to the playground, to the houses of his friends, starts studying, going to school, etc.
Mechanical discipline is the “cultivation of resistance”.
- We need to develop understanding instead of discipline.
- When man has understanding he does not need discipline.
We should teach the others how to think, not what to think.
- One should not accept or reject anything before consciously study and understand it.

Venus is related to love, romance, art, human relationships, etc.
The most important thing at this period is that, the sexual energy is activated.
- We need to teach the adolescent the importance of sexual energy and the need to manage it properly.

The Sun is associated with creativity, free will, inclination, optimism, enthusiasm, etc.
In this period the young man is full of vitality and energy.
- During this period, someone must gain his place in life.
Every person has an inclination (a natural tendency) in life.
- Whoever has found and follows his/her inclination, is always happy.
The key issue at this age is marriage.
- A man must get married because of love and affection.
- It is a big mistake to marry out of passion, fear, interest or planning.

Mars is related to power, authority, speech, war, etc.
- In this period the human speech begins to have power.
- In this period, man must work very hard, with the power that Mars gives him, in order to crystallize everything that is needed.
Human must learn not to be afraid, and not to seek security in anything or anyone.
- Fear is a lack of confidence in our inner Being.

Jupiter is associated with justice, abundance, power, etc.
- In this period, life gives the man what he deserves:
  1. the Horn of Abundance or
  2. the Rod of Beggar

Saturn is related to old age, wisdom, death, time, etc.
- If a man has lived in a positive and upward way for the past years, he is, at this period, full of wisdom, love and strength.
- If man has not lived in a positive and upward way for the past years, he reaches this period full of fears and weakness.
Fundamental Education teach us how to listen.
- Only when we are in a state of alert and self-awareness, without the weight of the past, we can listen without the translation of the ‘ego’.
