Lesson 4: The Psychological Ego

PENSUM

  • The formation, manifestation and nourishment of the EGO. Enumeration of those who externalize most often.
  • They must understand that we all have EGOS and that they cause us great harm.
  • How these appear and how GNOSIS gives us specific practices to dissolve them.

WHAT SHOULD BE TAUGHT:

  1. How, Where, Why EGOs are formed.
  2. How we were before we got these EGOs.
  3. How they make us act when we are under their influence.
  4. That we do not have a permanent center of gravity of Consciousness.

PRACTICE: CONTINUATION WITH THE PRACTICE OF THE 2ND AND 3RD LESSONS WITH AN EMPHASIS ON THE OBSERVER AND THE OBSERVED SO THEY UNDERSTAND HOW THEIR EGO MANIFESTS.

The Origin of “I”

(See “The Dissolution of the Ego”, chapter “The Cuadartigador Organ”)

The Kundabuffer Organ and the Gods’ mistake

  • The “I” is created on each planet in the 2nd half of the 3rd Race.

In the middle of the 3rd Race the two sexes were separated. Humans, from hermaphrodites, begin to be born with one sex more developed than the other, until after thousands of years each human has only one sex.

Atlantic1.000.000Men - Womensexual union
Aryan15.000Man - Womansexual union
  • After the separation of the sexes, instinct had begun to turn into objective reason, and humans slowly realized the reason for their creation: that they were machines made to convert cosmic energies to feed the Earth. Every human, animal and plant receives energies from the other planets, transforms them unconsciously and sends them inside the Earth. This made them feel that their life has no meaning.
  • A second problem then was that the geological crust of the planet was fluid and there were volcanic eruptions everywhere. This was because the Earth was then between the 4th and 3rd dimensions.
  • To solve these two problems, a Sacred Commission came to Earth, headed by Archangel Sakaki and Archphysician Seraphim-Angel Looisos. They gave people the Kundabuffer Organ, a kind of antenna, like the tail of monkeys.
  • With this they managed to solve the two issues: Man became fascinated by the natural world, forgetting that he is a machine, and thus mass suicides were avoided. This instrument changed the way the human machine transformed the energies it received, making them lunar and denser. In this way the Earth’s crust was stabilized.
  • Many centuries later, the Holy Commission returned, led by the Arch Seraphim Sevohtartra, and removed the Kundabuffer Organ from humanity. But they made a mistake in their calculations and removed it later than they should have. Thus remained the evil effects of the Kundabuffer Organ within the five centers of the human machine. These bad consequences are what is known as the “I”. The coccyx is a remnant of this organ.
    • The Kundartiguador instrument is the tail with which they depict the devil. Demons have this tail very developed in their astral body.

The Kundabuffer Organ and the Gods’ mistake

The fall

(See “The Magic of the Runes”, chapter “The Origin of the Ego”)

  • In Lemuria, humanity lived in Eden. The Earth then was a paradise: there was no “mine” and “yours”, people were innocent and happy. Then they had their super-senses developed. The body was like a lyre in which the seven vowels of Nature vibrated. They spoke the Golden Language and the realms of Nature obeyed them. After the separation of the sexes, they traveled in certain lunar periods to go to the temples and have sexual union under the guidance of the Masters (honeymoon). There they reproduced by the power of Kriya-Shakti (i.e. through the power of Yoga and Will) without losing the sexual energy. Thus there was no pain in childbirth.
  • At some point the atmosphere began to be charged with Luciferian forces. These powers were evoked from the Astral by the Lucifers: black magicians who came from the ancient Earth-Moon. These Luciferian forces fascinated the people and they began to feel a tendency to disobey the Masters. Slowly they began to practice sexual union outside the temples, without the guidance of the Masters, until at some point they began to lose the sexual energy.
  • Sexual abuse allowed the Kundabuffer organ to develop. Millions of people developed the Kundabuffer organ by mixing magic with ejaculation.

What can we say to the 1st Chamber?

  • In the 1st Chamber we cannot give this explanation for the origin of the ‘I’. If the group has a high level, there are in it old gnostics or people with a lot of experience in esotericism, we could perhaps say a few things. In an ordinary 1st Chamber group, in this lesson we can speak simply. i.e. Many years ago, humanity lived in a state of paradise, people were pure and innocent and then there were no “I’s” yet. Everyone could eat from their neighbor’s garden without fear.

Little by little, as people stopped obeying the Spiritual Masters, they began to obtain various habits and abuses which led to the creation of the ‘I’.

Over the centuries and as people repeated the same mistakes, the “I” trapped more and more of the Essence, until now humanity has an average of 97% “I” and 3% free Essence.

  • By giving a little explanation about the origin of the “I” we help people understand that the “I” is not something normal, it is not something we have always had and that we must dissolve it to return to purity.

The nature of the “EGO”

(See “Revolutionary Psychology,” chapter “The Beloved Self”) (See “Parsifal Unveiled”, chapter “Papapourousa”) (See “Yes, Yes, Yes”, chapter “The Dissolution of the Ego”) (See “The Science of Prayer”, chapter “The Ego and the Being”)

  • There is no Higher ego and Lower ego.
    • This separation is a trick of the “ego” because it wants to believe that a part of itself is divine and immortal.
    • Being does not have any kind of “ego”. Being is impersonal and cosmic.
  • We do not have a single “ego”, but many small “egos”.
    • Within man there is no control and decision center.
    • The various “egos” do not have any coordination or cooperation with each other.
    • Some egos form groups, but this happens coincidentally, without any organization.
    • Each little “ego” thinks it is the whole, the master and tries to take control as often as possible.
    • We are like a house where the master is absent and every servant wants to do what he likes.
    • This is why people “change their minds” so often.
    • This is the cause of all our psychological conflicts.
    • i.e. One “ego” wants to insult his boss, another “ego” is afraid of being fired, a third “ego” just wants to go home and watch TV, etc.

The “EGO” in Ancient Traditions

  • All the ancient traditions taught about the “I” and its dissolution:
    • Christianity: demons
    • Buddhism: psychic aggregates
    • Egypt: the red demons of Seth
    • Hinduism: passions and desires
    • Mythologies & fairy tales: beasts, monsters, dragons, etc.

The 7 Basic “EGOS”

  • The “ego” has 7 heads. Each head has beneath it a legion of many little “egos”. An ordinary person (not too bad) has about 10,000 “egos”. Every time we dissolve an “ego” a virtue of the Soul crystallizes in its place. We cannot artificially cultivate virtues. Virtues are born spontaneously when we dissolve opposing vices.

Envy

  • It is the secret spring of action.
  • Jealousy: romantic, political, religious, etc.
  • Competition
  • Ambition
  • Maliciousness
  • What others will say
  • Hypocrisy
  • Betrayal

Gluttony

  • i.e. one continues to eat even though one is full.
  • i.e. one eats without being hungry.
  • i.e. one eats without chewing.
  • i.e. someone who drinks (alcohol) more than he should because he likes the taste.

Death of the “Ego”

(See “Psychological Death”, chapter 1)

  • To dissolve an “I” there are always 3 steps:

1. To discover it:

  • It is impossible to dissolve an “ego” that we do not know we have.
  • As long as we have not discovered an “ego”, we think that something external is to blame for the problem that causes us.
  • Ego” is discovered by self-observation.

2. To understand it:

  • To study the “ego” and analyze it:
    • When and how did we create it?
    • Where, when and with which people does it express itself the most?
    • With what other “ego” does it appear?
    • When it takes control of what it makes us do, say, feel or think.
    • How do we feed it?
    • Etc.
  • Then, to realize the harm it does to us and others, and how much better it would be if we didn’t have it.
  • Understanding releases the Essence trapped in the “ego”.
  • After understanding the “ego” remains empty, it becomes a “shell”, a “corpse”.

(See “Great Mutiny”, chapter “Creative Understanding”)

3. To dissolve it:

  • After we have understood the “ego” and released the Essence it had trapped, we must dissolve the “shell” that remains.
    • If we do not dissolve it, it will constantly tempt us to repeat the same mistake to imprison the Essence again.
  • We cannot dissolve an “ego” that we have not understood, that still has Essence trapped within it.
    • This would not be constructive, because we have not understood our error.
    • Also, condemning the “ego” would also condemn the Essence that is within it.
  • The “ego” cannot be dissolved by the mind, we need a higher power.
  • Within our organism we have a sexual bio-electromagnetic energy that can dissolve the “ego” we have understood.

(See “Great Mutiny”, chapter “Kundalini”)

  • When we dissolve an “ego”, the Essence we release is still somewhat weak and vulnerable, and can easily fall back into the same mistake and resurrect the “ego” we dissolved.
    • For this reason, we must imbue the Essence we release with Will.
    • This is done by making the decision to never repeat that mistake again.
    • In this way the liberated Essence is stabilized as Consciousness.
    • Essence + Will = Consciousness

Practice: Death on March

  • It is a practice for dissolving the ego we use at any given moment.
  • Whenever during the day, as we self-observe, we become aware that some ego is trying to express itself or has begun to express itself:
    • We stop what we are doing (if possible).
    • We take a deep breath and hold it.
    • Tighten the coccyx.
    • We ask our Divine Mother to use this energy to dissolve the ego that wants to express itself.
  • Although to reach the death of the “ego” on a deep and complete level requires meditation and understanding, this practice is very useful to limit the action of the ego and dissolve some parts of it.

Practice: Hermetic Seal

  • It is a prayer we say in the morning, to consciously make the decision not to identify with anything during the day.
  • “Today I will be with my Being, I will not do anything other than what my Being wants, I will not do what others want me to do, I will not identify with anything in life, I will not identify with negative thoughts, I will not identify with negative feelings, I intend today to be with my Being, and nothing can distract me from this goal, from this intention of mine.

Suggested Practice with Being

  • At the end of the lesson we can do a short guided practice:
    • We first take a few deep breaths, relax, clear the mind, etc.
    • We concentrate in the heart and try to feel our Being.
    • We emphasize that our Being is cosmic and universal, it has nothing to do with ‘ego’, it is THAT which remains when the ‘ego’ is absent.
    • Next, we read the Hermetic Seal and each person mentally repeats.
    • The practice will last about 10 minutes.
    • Finally, to encourage people to:
    • The Hermetic Seal every morning.
    • “Death in the process” whenever they notice the ego is going to manifest during the day.

Second Chamber Information

Just for our own understanding, not to share it with the First Chamber.

”Ego” Death Techniques

(See “Psychological Death”, chapters 1 to 8)

  • Meditation on the Death of “I”
    • The practice we teach in lesson 17.
  • Death in the Process
    • During the day, when we notice that an “I” is going to express itself, we ask our Divine Mother to dissolve it.
    • It prevents the expression of the “ego”.
  • Death in Arcana A.Z.F.
    • We ask for the death of an “ego” that we have worked with during the Arcana A.Z.F.
  • Death of the Scorpion
    • When there is a big explosion of “I”, if we hold back and don’t a-let it express itself on the physical level, then it dies with its own poison.
  • Death by Starvation
    • It is not feeding the “I”, not doing what it wants.
    • So it slowly loses power and it becomes easier to understand and dissolve it.
    • Some little “egos” may die just by not feeding them.
  • Death by transferring the Shells
    • When someone criticizes an “ego” that we have understood, then this “ego-shell” can be transferred to the other.
    • In order to do this, at that moment we must not react, not defend the “ego”.
  • Death through the 52 Transubstantiation
    • The moment we consume the transubstantiation we ask for the death of the ego we have worked for.
  • Death through Pratimoksha
    • Related to the ceremony of the 14th of the month.

The 5 Stages of Death of the “ego”

(See “Psychological Death”, chapter 10)

  1. When we know “ego”.
  2. When we understand it.
    • When we realize the harm it does to us and others.
  3. When we renounce it.
    • When we decide not to make the same mistake again (denial).
    • When we stick to this decision at the time of temptation (denial).
  4. When we kill it.
    • When it no longer has expression on the physical level.
    • It can continue to express itself in thought, feeling, Astral or Mental.
  5. The Real Death.
    • Complete death at all levels.

What does “ego” consist of?

(See “Psychological Death”, chapter 9)

Material
Sexual Energy
  • Mind
  • Imagination
  • When the mind thinks about someone, it steals the sexual energy and the imagination projects it towards that person it is thinking about. We should not think things about others: neither good nor bad. When we think things about others, we connect with their darkness and absorb it. We must learn to think without imagining and to imagine without thinking.
Energy
Consciousness
  • Essence Each “ego” has a piece of our Essence trapped inside.
  • Consciousness Because we put Consciousness into problems and defend the “ego” with reason. We must not justify it.
  • Wisdom of Good The “ego” knows how we managed to work it in the past. We must use new methods that the “ego” does not know.
