The Arcana in the various Traditions

  • Sexual magic was practiced in the inner (secret) circle of all religions, as well as in all authentic Initiatic Schools.
    • In India it was called Sahaja Maitreya, Tantra or Urdhvareta Yoga.
    • In ancient Egypt, after terrible trials, they revealed the Arcanum from mouth to ear. Then, in the pyramids, the initiate began to work on the Arcanum with a Staircase which was also properly prepared. Whoever revealed the secret of the Arcanum was sentenced to death.
    • In the mysteries of Eleusis, couples danced the sacred dances naked so that they could be magnetized to each other and unite sexually without losing energy.
    • Sexual magic was practiced in esoteric Christianity.
    • It was also known in Tantric Buddhism.
    • The science of transformation was practiced in Taoism.
    • Sexual magic was practiced among the Muslim Sufis. In Sufi mysticism we find the combination of the erotic and the mystical.
    • Medieval alchemists transmitted the teachings of sexual transformation mainly through symbolic paintings.
  • In earlier times, the key to sexual alchemy was the most closely guarded secret of the Mystery Schools.
    • The Masters kept it a secret, revealing it only to those who were properly prepared, so that it would not fall into the hands of people who would use it negatively.
    • In order to reveal it to a disciple, he first had to have completed the Minor Mysteries and awakened his Consciousness.
    • Anyone who learned of it was obliged to take an oath of silence, which if violated was punishable by death.
    • When the Age of Aquarius began (04-02-1962) the White Brotherhood gave V.M. Samael Aun Weor the mission to publicly reveal the Great Secret.

The Arcanum A.Z.F.

  • Sexual alchemy is also called: “Arcanum A.Z.F.”
  • Arcanum means “Secret”.
    • It is also related to the Latin word “arca” (ark), or “boat”.
    • In other words, it is the secret with which we can navigate the waters (sexual energy) and be saved from the flood.
  • A.Z.F. means:

The Difference Between Transmutation as Single and as Married

  • We all need to practice the transformation of sexual energies daily, whether we are married or single.
    • Married people practice transformation with the Arcanum A.Z.F. o On days when, for whatever reason, a married person cannot practice the Arcanum, he performs the transmutation as if he were single.
    • Singles practice transformation with Pranayama (and generally with the various transformation exercises, such as: Runes, vocalization, physical-internal exercises, etc.)
  • The differences in transformation with Pranayama and with the Arcanum A.Z.F.
    • About the Second Birth: o Pranayama helps us Awaken Consciousness, revitalize the body, energetically strengthen the chakras, and strengthen will and understanding. o However, with Pranayama we cannot create the Solar Bodies or awaken and raise the Kundalini through the spine. o The Arcanum A.Z.F. also allows us to create the Solar Bodies and then awaken and raise the Kundalini through the spine.
    • Regarding the death of the ‘ego’: o During the practice of Arcanum A.Z.F., sexual energy can reach a very high temperature, giving the Divine Mother great power to dissolve the ‘ego’. o In a free person, the Divine Mother can also dissolve the ‘ego’, but her power is considerably less.

The Practice of Arcana A.Z.F.

If this is the first time people are hearing about Alchemy, it would be better not to mention too many technical details, so that it does not seem complicated to them (e.g. about the 3 ceremonies, various Mantras, etc.).

If there are people who already know about Alchemy, we could say a few more things.

Preparation

  • In fact, a couple prepares for the sexual alchemical practice all day long.
    • It is not that we go at night to practice the Arcana and that this is an isolated phenomenon.
    • The best preparation is caress, affection, and mutual kindness during the day, so that the evening can be the culmination of that day with the alchemical work.
  • The best time for alchemical work is at night.
  • In preparation for sexual union, the couple engages in the appropriate love games (caresses, kisses, hugs, etc.) in a normal manner, with a lot of tenderness and love.
    • If this is not done correctly and either partner is rushed, there is a risk that the sexual organs will not achieve adequate lubrication.
  • Once sufficient lubrication is produced and the couple feels ready, they will join sexually with very gentle movements.

Transmutation

  • We need:
    • To not think about other things, let’s be focused on what we’re doing.
    • Movements should be slow and controlled.
    • If at any time during the practice we feel that there is a risk of losing energy, we must immediately withdraw.

Mantras

  • We can use some mantras to help the process of transformation.
    • The only mantra we will teach in this lesson is: I.A.O. o When we do the ‘I’ we visualize the energy rising from the coccyx towards the third eye. o When we do the ‘A’ we visualize the energy rising from the tailbone to the lungs. o When we make the ‘O’ we visualize the energy rising from the tailbone to the heart.
    • If for any reason we cannot vocalize the mantras, we could do them mentally.

Death of the ‘ego’

  • The practice of Arcano A.Z.F. is the best time to ask for the death of the ‘ego’.
  • The Divine Mother uses all this sexual energy that is in activity to dissolve the ego.

Completion of the practice

  • At some point the fire will naturally begin to subside.
  • Then, the couple will remain together for a bit of time, without moving.
  • During this time we will relax, focus on the heart, and enter a state of inspiration and harmony.
    • This allows the transformed energies to stabilize in the heart.
  • As the fire gradually decreases more and more, at some point the man’s sexual organ will lose its erection, until the couple will separate in a natural way.

Requirements to practice the Arcanum

(See “The Second Birth”, chapter “Requirements and Practical Details”)

  • Only a legally constituted couple can exercise it.
    • For the Venerable White Brotherhood, a legally constituted couple is formed by two individuals who: o They have sexual intercourse o They live in the same house.
    • Let’s be clear that a person does not get married to practice the Arcanum, they get married because they are in love. o If someone were to marry without being in love, this would constitute a form of prostitution.
    • Alchemy does not consist only in sexual union without ejaculation, but in the unification of the couple. o The couple slowly unites on various levels (energetic, emotional, mental, volitional), moving ever closer to the Perfect Marriage.
  • The practice of Arcano should be the most normal thing in the world. It only requires two basic things:
    • To be in the mood (to have an appetite).
    • To not waste energy (withdrawing in time).

Practical Details

  • Alchemy should not be done when the woman is menstruating.
    • Sexual energy works to bring about a cleansing and purification of the body.
  • Alchemy should not be practiced when a woman is pregnant or for 40 days after giving birth.
    • During pregnancy, sexual energy is dedicated to the development of the fetus.
    • After giving birth, she must wait 40 days for the body and organs to return to their normal state.
  • Alchemy should not be practiced when someone is sick.
    • In this case sexual energy works to heal the body.
  • The Magnetic Pause: alchemy should not be practiced more than once a day.
    • Sexual energy needs 24 hours to be restored and matured to be suitable for transformation.
    • If we do not respect this renewal rate, overheating can be produced which can contribute to losing energy.
  • What do we do if the spouse is not gnostic:
    • This is not a problem for someone who wants to transmute.
    • We must respect the other person and carry out our work in silence, with much love and tenderness, to prove with facts that we are experiencing the Teaching.
  • Regarding contraception:
    • In alchemy it is not proper to use any contraceptive method, whether natural or chemical, nor prevention through a condom which would make the union unnatural.
    • There are forces that must be exchanged through the sexual organs, and if we put foreign media into the body, they prevent this exchange from taking place in the right way, it’s like putting a filter or an obstacle.
    • We must understand that the birth of a child is predetermined by the Law of Karma and cannot happen by chance.
    • If the husband is not a gnostic and the woman wants to avoid pregnancy, she needs to unite very much with her Divine Mother and ask her to help her control fertility.
  • We should not do the practice when during the day the couple had a dispute, fight, or serious ego problem.
  • One should not force one’s spouse to do the practice if one of them does not feel like it.
  • It is of utmost importance that the place where the practice of alchemy will take place is in perfect order and cleanliness. If the marital bedroom is messy, with clothes or shoes thrown everywhere, with various objects out of place, without ventilation, with bad smells, all of this produces disharmonious vibrations which undoubtedly affect the quality of the practice.
  • Alchemical practices must be done at night. The seed sprouts in the darkness beneath the earth and the embryo develops in the darkness of the womb. However, when someone starts this task, they should do the practice when they feel like it and as they progress, they should do their best to do it at the right time. A particularly favorable time for alchemy is early in the morning, from 3:00 a.m. to 6:00 a.m. o There the energies in Nature rise under the influence of Mercury. o Also, the couple is rested after a night’s sleep.
  • If the couple is separated during the practice, they can only be reunited if the grids have not been separated. In case the grids have been separated, we should not rejoin them, because forces immediately enter the grids that make it very dangerous to return to the practice (i.e. it is much easier to fall).

The Benefits of Arcana A.Z.F.

  • It increases the harmony of the couple.
    • It embodies love.
    • The couple remains in love. o By avoiding the waste of sexual energy, the couple does not feel the satiety that inevitably comes from the satisfaction of animal passion. Thus, they remain in love for life.
    • The house is filled with happiness. o This is caused by the successive magnetisms of the couple, which form around the couple and their home a physical, energetic, emotional, mental and spiritual HARMONY which yields much, attracting to them happiness, abundance and the Grace of GOD.
  • Second Birth.
  • It helps health.
    • It revitalizes the entire body. o The sexual hormones, when they do not escape to the outside, INCREASE and return to the bloodstream, activating all the glands and the entire hormonal system. o This results in the rejuvenation of the entire body and it’s better functioning in all areas. o We could say that the practice of Arcanum A.Z.F. is the most powerful medicine that exists in nature. o Increases sexual power. o When we do not lose sperm, sexual energy undergoes a feedback which results in sexual power increasing, or at least not decreasing. o Contraceptives are avoided. o We refer to physical, chemical or biological methods. o Fertility is controlled. o In this way we do not limit conception, but what we do is control fertility.

The 3 Ceremonies

  • There is no need to perform exorcisms, invocations, prayers, etc. before the Arcanum.
  • If we did all this, the fire would go out, that is, the “appetite” would disappear.
  • The 3 stages of the Arcanum A.Z.F. are also called: “The 3 Ceremonies”.
  • The Ceremonial of Conversion
  • The Ceremonial of Death
  • The Ceremonial of Illumination

(1) The Ceremony of Conversion

  • It begins from the moment sexual union takes place.

  • At this stage we work with Fire.

  • We need to work with: o Concentration o Will o Breathing o Conscious Imagination

  • Concentration

    • It is necessary so that during the practice we do not think about anything (or even worse, have lustful or unhealthy thoughts that contaminate the energy we transform.)
    • In alchemy the fire must be pure, without smoke (thoughts).

  • Willpower

    • It is needed so that we have clarity about what we are going to do and can maintain the unwavering decision that we will never lose our energies.
    • If we forget willpower in practice, we would run the risk of “falling”.
    • That is why it is also important that the movements are slow and controlled, so that at every moment we have control of the situation.
    • If at any moment in the practice there is a risk of losing energy, we must immediately withdraw.

  • Breathing

    • It allows us to put the element of air, to animate the fire and in this way the temperature begins to increase. o What we need is to reach the boiling point, so that the transformation takes place, but without running the risk of falling.
    • In the breathing section, Mantras also appear to support the process of transformation. o The most well-known mantra for the Arcanum is I.A.O. o Mantras can be done verbally or mentally, depending on the circumstances. o The number of repetitions we do the mantras also depends on each person, but we can, for example, do the mantra I.A.O. 7 times. o The big key to phonation is the projection of energy.
      • When we do the ‘I’ we visualize the energy rising from the tailbone to the third eye.
      • When we do the ‘A’ we visualize the energy rising from the tailbone to the lungs.
      • When we do the ‘O’ we visualize the energy rising from the tailbone to the heart. o It is also important in phonation to exhale the air completely, because the conversion occurs the moment the lungs are completely empty.

  • Conscious Imagination

    • It must mediate simultaneously with all these aspects so that we visualize the energy rising from the spine.

(2) The Death Ceremony

  • This stage occurs when the couple has reached the maximum temperature in the practice of alchemy, WITHOUT THE RISK OF FALLING.
  • At the moment of maximum temperature we must ask for the death of the ‘ego’.
  • This is because at that moment the Divine Mother Kundalini has in her power the spear with which she dissolves the ‘ego’.
  • We must of course already be working on the ‘ego’ that we ask to be dissolved and have some degree of understanding about it.
  • The sexual erotic spear with which the Divine Mother dissolves the ‘ego’ is the peristaltic movement of the male sexual organs, which occurs in the man when the temperature has already reached an appropriate point and which always precedes the sexual spasm.
  • How do we ask for the dissolution of the ‘ego’ in the Arcanum:
    • First, both together will ask the Divine Mother for the dissolution of the ‘ego’ that one works with (e.g. the woman).
    • Then, both together will ask the Divine Mother for the dissolution of the ‘ego’ that the other works with (e.g. the man).
    • In this way, the energies of both are combined on each ‘ego’.
    • If in the couple one of the two is not a gnostic, then the one who carries out the death will mentally ask for the dissolution of the ‘ego’ that works with.

(3) The Ceremony of Enlightenment

  • Since in the second stage we have reached the point of maximum arousal, now the fire naturally begins to decrease.
  • Remaining united, the couple will now move into the third stage.
  • The movements slowly stop, since we have passed the stage where we were working with the Fire.
  • At this stage we will work with the Light.
    • In the first stage we worked with Fire to transform our energies.
    • Now we will stabilize these energies in our hearts as spiritual Light.
    • If we don’t stabilize the energies we have transformed in the heart, it is very easy for the ‘ego’ to take them and become empowered.
    • The Light that stabilizes in our heart gives a huge boost to the awakening of Consciousness.
  • The method to stabilize energies is Inspiration.
  • As the fire gradually decreases more and more, at some point the male sexual organ will lose its erection, until the couple will separate in a natural way.

After the Separation

  • If the work has been done correctly, all available sexual energy should have been transformed.
    • If for any reason we feel that there is any excess left, we can complete the transformation on our back with the mantra: HAM-SAH. o We inhale slowly and deeply, raising the energy from the tailbone to the head, mentally chanting the mantra: HAAAAAAAAMMMMMMMM. o We exhale quickly, taking the energy from the head to the heart, loudly chanting the mantra: SAH.
  • If the practice has been performed satisfactorily, the couple can turn to the side, so that the spinal columns and tail bones are joined.
    • When the man’s tailbone and the woman’s tailbone are united after the alchemical practice, an electromagnetic bipolar vortex of tremendous power is created.
    • In this position, the couple can carry out any type of practice, prayer, meditation, astral unfolding practices, remaining like this for as long as they want (even hours or even all night).
    • In this position, each member of the couple, or both together, can also work with the Elohim of Eden.
    • The Elohim of Eden is an energetic entity in the 4th dimension that is created when the couple practices alchemy.
    • That is, it belongs to the couple.
    • He possesses all the abilities and powers that Man and Woman had before the fall and expulsion from Paradise.
    • We can ask Him for whatever we need, for our work and for our path.

The 10 Benefits of Arcanum A.Z.F.

  • (1) Incarnates Love

    • During transmutation, special electromagnetic forces come into action which help us to increase the harmony of the couple, gradually approaching true love.
    • The couple remains in love. o By avoiding the waste of sexual energy, the couple does not feel the saturation that inevitably comes from the satisfaction of animal passion. Thus, they remain in love for life.

  • (2) Second Birth

    • Through sexual alchemy we create the Solar Bodies.
    • First the Physical body is solarized, then the Vital, and then the Solar Astral, the Solar Mental, and the Solar Causal are created.
    • Thus we change from the Lunar structure to a Solar one.

  • (3) Kundalini awakens and rises

    • Once the Solar Bodies have been created, the vehicles that allow us to withstand the tendency of BEING, then through sexual alchemy Kundalini can be awakened and begins its ascent up the spine of each of the 7 bodies.

  • (4) Awakens Consciousness and inner abilities

    • As Kundalini rises, it activates our chakras and their abilities. o Inner abilities such as intuition, telepathy, clairvoyance begin to be activated, bringing more clarity to the astral world each time, etc.
    • At the same time, through the inspiration of the last ceremony of the Arcanum A.Z.F (i.e., Illumination), the transformed energy stabilizes in the heart as light and this causes the awakening of Consciousness.

  • (5) Increases sexual power

    • When we do not lose sperm, sexual energy undergoes a feedback loop that results in sexual power increasing, or at least not decreasing.

  • (6) Contraceptives are avoided

    • By practicing sexual union in a natural way, it is no longer necessary to use any unnatural method to avoid conception. o We are referring to physical, chemical or biological methods.
    • All of these, for different reasons, go against the laws of GOD: o Some because they alter biological and hormonal rhythms. o Some because they do not allow direct contact of the sexual organs, placing a barrier that does not allow electromagnetic exchange between the sexual forces of the members of the couple. o Some because artificial means are inserted which are obviously foreign to the body.

  • (7) Fertility is controlled

    • In this way we do not limit conception, but what we do is control fertility.
    • The creation of a creature is subject to the Will of GOD, therefore it is not necessary to resort to any artificial method of contraception.

  • (8) The ‘I’ is destroyed

    • In the Death ceremony in the Arcanum A.Z.F, when we reach maximum temperature we have the necessary conditions to kill the ego.
    • The difference between a single person who does not practice sexual alchemy and a married person is in the temperature disparity: the married person can face greater mental burdens than in the case of the single person.
    • The higher the temperature, the greater the size of the ego that can be eliminated, but WE MUST NEVER REACH THE THERMAL POINT WHERE WE RISK FALLING.

  • (9) The house is filled with bliss

    • This is caused by the successive magnetisms of the couple, which form around the couple and their home a physical, energetic, emotional, mental and spiritual HARMONY which yields much, attracting to them happiness, abundance and the Grace of GOD.
    • The person who transforms his sexual energies, performs his PARLOK DUTIES and for this he has the Grace of GOD.
    • The person who ejaculates loses the Grace of GOD and becomes an unhappy person.

  • (10) Revitalizes the entire body

    • Sex hormones, when they do not escape to the outside, INCREASE and return to the bloodstream, activating all the glands and the entire hormonal system.
    • This results in the rejuvenation of the entire body and it’s better functioning in all areas.
    • We could say that the practice of Arcanum A.Z.F. is the most powerful medicine that exists in nature.

The 3 Types of Tantrism

(See “Tarot and Kabbalah”, chapter “Arcana 14”)

  • There are 3 types of Tantrism: White Black Grey

  • In White Tantrism, ejaculation (orgasm) is prohibited.

  • In Black Tantrism ejaculation (orgasm) is mandatory. Black Tantrists combine ejaculation with special exercises, concentration, etc. to awaken the powers of the Kundabuffer organ.

  • In Grey Tantrism it is not particularly important whether there will be ejaculation (orgasm) or not. In Grey Tantrism they prolong the sexual act in order to prolong the pleasure, and in the end they either ejaculate or not. Over time it leads to Black Tantrism.

The Benefits of Sexual Alchemy

The Oneida Community

(A community in Ondeida, New York founded in 1848 by John Humphrey Noyes.)

In this community they practiced a type of sexuality where men did not ejaculate (while there was no specific system for women).

When a group of doctors visited the community and examined the men to see the effects of non-ejaculation.

“A complete stimulation of the brain was observed, an increase in hormones in the blood, a general improvement in the body, an enhancement of sexual ability, and many ailments disappeared.”

The community eventually disbanded, since there was no inner foundation, work on the self, death of the ‘ego’, etc.

Dr. Alice Stockham

(Obstetrician and Gynecologist, Born in the United States of America, 1833-1912)

She called the technique of sexual alchemy: “Karezza” (Karezza, which in Italian means “caress”)

“In the physical union of the male with the female there can also be a union of souls, which offers not only the highest happiness, but also contributes to inner growth.

“Instead of sexual intercourse reaching orgasm, spouses should indulge in sweet caresses, loving words and tender touches, keeping the mind firmly removed from animal sexuality, maintaining the purest spirituality, as if the act were a true religious rite.

Of course, the man can and should insert his penis into the female sexual organ, to bring about a divine sensation, full of joy, that can last for hours, withdrawing it when the spasm approaches, so as to avoid ejaculation of semen. In this way, they will have more desire to caress each time.

This can be repeated as many times as they want, without fatigue ever setting in. On the contrary, it is the Magic Key of daily rejuvenation, keeping the body healthy and prolonging life, since this constant magnetism is a source of health.

We know that in ordinary magnetism the magnetist transmits fluids to the subject and if the former has developed these powers, he can heal the latter.

The transmissibility of the magnetic fluid is usually done through the hands or eyes, but we must say that there is no conductor more powerful, a thousand times more powerful, a thousand times superior to others, than the male member and the vagina as a receiving organ.

  • In Tantric Buddhism, the couple first meditates back to back. Then, after exchanging caresses, the man sits in the lotus position and the woman sits on his lap so that they can unite sexually.
  • During the Middle Ages, many Gnostics practiced the Arcanum with Virgin Estiades, calling it Virgine Subintroductis. Through the very gradual way in which they performed sexual union, the Estiades kept the hymen intact.
  • In Aztec temples, couples remained for months or years, worshiping and caressing each other and practicing sexual union without ejaculating. If someone reached ejaculation, they were sentenced to death.
