Lesson 20: The Elementals

PENSUM

  • The elementals in Nature and inside our physical body.
  • How to use them.

WHAT NEEDS TO BE TAUGHT

  1. What the elementals are and who rules them.
  2. Practice with the elementals in our Microcosm:

PRACTICE DOMINATE OVER THE TURMOIL OF THE ELEMENTALS THROUGH SELF-OBSERVATION, REMAINING VIGILANT. A PERSON WITH CAPRICIOUS AND UNPREDICTABLE BEHAVIOUR COULD NEVER RULE THE SYLPHIDS INSIDE OF HIM. A PERSON WHO IS COLD AND TALKATIVE COULD NEVER RULE THE UNDINES. A PERSON WHO GIVES IN HIS ANGER COULD NEVER RULE SALAMANDERS. A VERY SEXUALLY INSULATED PERSON WHO IS FAT AND RUDE, BECOMES GNOMES’ GAME. EXAMPLE: SYLPHS CREATE STORMS IN THE MIND, SALAMANDERS CREATE LUSTFUL THOUGHTS, ETC.

The Elementals

(See “Notes on Natural Medicine”, chapter “Elemental Healing”) (See “Occult medicine”, chapter “Introduction”) (See “Occult Medicine”, chapter “Plants and their Planetary Influence”) (See “Tarot and Kabbalah”, Part 2 “Arcana 7”) (See “Esoteric Lessons of Kabbalah”, chapter “Arcana 4”)

We can initially remind people of what the Elementals are.

  • The Elementals are Consciousnesses (Essences) that evolve upward in the mineral and plant kingdom of Nature. Every human, before entering the animal or human kingdom, was an Elemental. Every Elemental, over the course of evolution, will at some point become an animal and then human.
  • These are the creatures of Nature mentioned in all traditions: e.g. elves, goblins, dwarfs, fairies, hobgoblins, pixies, nymphs, fauns, dryads, spirits of nature, etc.
  • They live in the 4th dimension, so most of the time we don’t see them. If they want, they can become visible and tangible in the 3rd dimension, but they usually avoid humans.
  • Everything in Nature has consciousness and intelligence: Every rock has its soul. Every crystal has its soul. Every plant has its soul. Every herb has its soul. Every tree has its soul. Every forest has its soul. Every mountain has its soul.
  • We call them Elementals precisely because they live inside the elements of nature. Nature has 5 elements: o Earth o Water o Air o Fire o Ether
  • Each element is inhabited and animated by specific Elementals: Earth is inhabited and animated by Gnomes and Pygmies. Water is inhabited and animated by Undines and Nereids. Air is inhabited and animated by Sylphs and Sylphids. Fire is inhabited and animated by Salamanders. Ether is inhabited and animated by the Punctas.
  • The physical bodies of the Elementals are the plants, the herbs and roots of the plants which are influenced by the zodiac signs and the planets associated with the respective element: The physical organisms of Salamanders are the plants, herbs and roots which are influenced by the fire zodiac signs and planet Mars. The physical organisms of Sylphs are the plants, herbs and roots which are influenced by the air zodiac signs and the Sun. The physical organisms of Undines are the plants, herbs and roots which are influenced by the water zodiac signs and the Moon. The physical organisms of Gnomes are the plants, herbs and roots which are influenced by the earth zodiac signs and planet Saturn.

The Elementals of Earth

  • They are called: Gnomes, Pygmies, Dwarfs, etc. They look like old men with long white beards and peculiarly short height. They build their houses underground and inside rocks. They work with the alchemy of metals in the bowels of the Earth. They guard the treasures they have hidden. o They appear in certain places where buried gold is found like a golden goose with its chicks, or like little golden children who dive into the place where gold is found.

The Elementals of Water

  • They are called Undines, Fairies, Naiads, Nereids, Nymphs, Mermaids, Sirens, etc. They have various forms: some look like silent ladies, happy among the waves of the vast ocean, others have the form of a siren-fish with a woman’s head and they play with the clouds or they stay in the lakes and rivers that wet their beds of rock. They build their houses inside the depth of waters with ethereal matter. They move the waters.

The Elementals of Air

  • They are called Sylphs and Sylphids. They look like little children, very beautiful and with happy faces like dawn. They are playful, they push the air creating winds, they give whimsical shapes to the clouds, etc. They possess great magical and healing powers. They possess an unsurpassed memory, therefore, they are wise. o They remember the rituals, the religions of the stars and the wisdom of the most ancient books.

The Elementals of Fire

  • They are called Salamanders They are thin, lanky, similar to beetles or crickets but much larger in stature. Some look like small lizards. They animate the fire.

The Elementals of Ether

  • They are called Punctas We often see them in the sky as very small spots that move quickly in various directions. The Puncta have a very beautiful golden colour.

Rule over the Elements

(See “The Secret Doctrine of Anahuac”, chapter “The Elementals”)

  • We must defeat the Elementals in their strengths without being defeated by their weaknesses. To master the Gnome and Pygmies one must overcome laziness and gluttony. To master the Undines and Nereids one must overcome lust and passion. To master the Sylphs and Sylphides one must overcome doubts and insecurities. To master the Salamanders one must overcome anger and pride.

  • We need to be: Hardworking and patient like the Gnomes. Flexible and sensitive to images like the Undines. Fast and active like the Sylphs. Active and strong like the Salamanders.

  • Whoever masters the elemental inside gains power over the elements outside of him. Whoever masters the Gnomes can control earthquakes. Whoever masters the Undines can control turmoils and tidal waves. Whoever masters the Sylphs can control winds, storms and hurricanes. Whoever masters the Salamanders can control volcanoes and fires.

Tattvas

(See Occult Medicine”, chapter “Ens Espirituale”) (See “Treatise of Sexual Alchemy”, chapter “The Tattvas of Nature”) (See Occult Medicine”, chapter “Plants and their Planetary Influence”)

6th Dimension AkashTejasReflectiveFire

  • Tattvas are vibrations of ether.
  • Tattvas are the soul of the elements.
  • The 5 Tattvas are as follows: Akash is the original cause of all that exists. Tejas is the ether of fire. Vayu is the ether of air and movement. Apas is the ether of water. Pritvi is the ether of the earth element.

ApasWaterWhiteVA

  • The Elementals reside within the Tattvas: Salamanders live within the Tattva of fire (Tejas). Undines and Nereids live within the Tattva of water (Apas). Sylphs live within the Tattva of air (Vayu). Gnomes and Pygmies live within the Tattva of earth (Pritvi).

    • Therefore, when the Elementals are activated, the corresponding Tattvas are activated and the elements of Nature are agitated. E.g. When the Sylphs run through space they disturb the Vayu. Consequently the Vayu moves the masses of air. Thus air is produced. E.g. When a Magician moves the elementals of fire with his power, these elementals act on their own in Tejas and the fire devours what the magician wants. E.g. Great battles break out between the elementals over the sea. The Undines throw the ether of their waters against the Sylphs. Then, the Sylphs fight back by launching ethereal waves against the Undines. Then, the storm breaks out from the turbulent combination of water and air. The roar of the sea and the hiss of the hurricane are the war cries of these elementals.
  • By observing nature we can easily determine which Tattva is vibrating. When the weather is pleasant, full of harmony and joy, it is because Prittvi is vibrating. When the weather is humid and rainy, it is because Apas is vibrating. When there is air (wind) it is because Vayu is vibrating. When there is strong sun and heat, Tejas is vibrating. When the weather is dry and stuffy, it is because Akash is vibrating.

  • The vibrations of the Tattvas: Any gathering, lecture, work or appointment held in Prittvi will be completely successful. Apas is wonderful for work. It works by concentrating and attracting. All kinds of simple and quick work are very good in Vayu. It is good to carry out our mental work in this period. You should use the time of Tajas to work intensely. Akash is good exclusively for meditation and prayer.

Tattvas in Food

(See “In Aquarius, A New Exit”, chapter “Nutrition”)

  • Each of the foods is related to the Tattvas.
  • Transformation, prayer and meditation are related to AKASH.
  • Red meat is related to TEJAS. o This gives us the fire energy we need for transformation, but it could also strengthen anger and pride. Fruits are related to VAYU. o This helps us to have activity and dexterity, but it could also produce restlessness and thoughts in us. Vegetables and fish are related to APAS. o This helps us to have harmony and peace, but it could also produce lust in us. Grains are related to PRITVI. o This gives us strength, but it could also produce inertia in us.
  • Therefore, Tattvas act positively or negatively according to our physical, mental and psychological behavior.

How to work with the Elementals

(See “Notes on Natural Medicine”, chapter “Theurgy with the Esoteric Elementals”) (See “Notes on Natural Medicine”, chapter “Medical Theurgy with Natural Elementals”)

The Gods of Elementals

  • At the top of each elemental kingdom are certain Elemental Gods who rule.

They rule the external Elementals: o God of Ether: Indra o God of Fire: Agni o God of Air: Pavana o God of Water: Varuna o God of Earth: Kitichi

They rule the inner Elementals: o God of Ether: Sudashiva o God of Fire: Rudra o God of Air: Ishvara o God of Water: Narayana o God of Earth: Brahma

Conjuration of the Elements

  • There are also magical conjurations with which we can control the Elementals. Conjuration of the Earth o It is done facing North. o We hold a stick or a container with a little soil. Conjuration of Water o It is done facing West. o We hold a transparent glass of water. Conjuration of the Air o It is done facing East. o We hold an eagle feather. Conjuration of Fire o It is done facing South. o We hold a sword.

The Elemental Mediator

(See “Occult Medicine”, chapter “The Elemental Tutor”) (See “Notes on Natural Medicine”, chapter “Elemental Therapy”)

  • Every person has an Elemental Mediator. Every person, when he was an Elemental himself, created his Elemental Mediator with his ambitions. The Elemental Mediator possesses all the wisdom of the elemental magic of Nature. He knows all the rituals of the Elementals of plants.
  • In order to work with the magic of Nature we must ask our Being to command our Elemental Mediator, so that he may intercede before the Elemental with which we wish to work and command it. For example, when preparing the herbal bath, we can bless them and perform a work of magic: We bless each plant separately in the name of the Father, in the name of the Son, in the name of the Holy Spirit (+) and in the name of the Most Holy Tetragrammaton (O). “My Father, my God, my Lord, you who are my Real Being, my Inner God, I ask you in the name of Christ, by the power of Christ, by the majesty of Christ to order my Elemental Mediator to perform the Elemental Ritual of this plant, ordering its Elemental to work intensively to cleanse my physical body and my internal bodies from all nymphs, negative energies and negative, diseased fluids, which can cause any problem, physical or mental, or any disease.” We can do the same process when we burn these plants as incense for cleansing.

Practice: Theurgy with the Inner Elementals during the bath

(See “Notes on Natural Medicine”, chapter “Theurgy with the Inner Elementals”)

  • We can practice this every day when we take a bath: Earth: Before we enter the shower, we call KITITZI and BRAHMA, who allow us to command and order the Gnomes and Pygmies of the earth. And we command them to cleanse and purify our entire body from negative energies and forces and to heal and cure us, especially the physical body, bones, muscles, tendons, giving us agility and elasticity, in the body. Water: Entering the shower, under the water, we ask VARUNA and NARAYANA to allow us to command and order the Undines and Nereids of the water to cleanse and purify our entire body from negative energies and forces and to heal and cure us, especially the vital body, the creative organs and to cleanse and purify our sexual energy and help us in transformation. Fire: As we get out of the shower and as we dry ourselves, we ask AGNI and RUDRA to allow us to command and order the Salamanders of the fire to cleanse and purify our entire body from negative energies and forces and to heal and cure us, especially the mental body, digestive system, liver, kidneys, heart and to cleanse and purify our blood. Air: And as we begin to get dressed, we ask PAVANA and ISHVARA to allow us to command and order the Sylphs and Sylphides of the air to cleanse and purify our entire body from negative energies and forces and to heal and cure us, especially the astral body, respiratory system, lungs and to cleanse and purify the air. Ether: Coming out of the bathroom, we ask INDRA and SUDASHIVA to allow us to command and order the Punctas of the Ether to cleanse and purify our entire body from negative energies and forces and to heal and cure us, especially the causal body, the brain, and the cerebrospinal system.

Suggested Practice with the Elements

  • At the end of the class we will do the TIR-BAR Runes and a guided practice:
    • First we all do the TIR-BAR Runes together seven times.
    • Then we sit and take some deep breaths, relax, empty the mind, etc.
    • We concentrate on the heart, we invoke our Divine Mother and ask her to help us in this practice.
    • We invoke the help of the Gods and Elementals of the Earth, we imagine that we are the Earth, the mountains, the rocks, etc., that we are full of stability and tranquility and we all do the mantra “I.A.O.” together 7 times.
    • We invoke the help of the Gods and Elementals of water, we imagine that we are the seas, rivers, lakes, etc., that we are pure like water and we all do the mantra “M” together 7 times.
    • We invoke the help of the Gods and Elementals of the air, we imagine that we are the wind, the breeze, etc., that we are free like the air and we all take a deep sigh together 7 times.
    • We invoke the help of the Gods and Elementals of the fire, we imagine that we are the fire itself, life itself, that we are full of love and peace and we all do the mantraINRI” together 7 times.
    • We remain in silence for a while.
    • We give thanks.
    • The practice will last about 25-30 minutes (without the Runes).
