Hail Mary

Hanbledzoïn

“When, during the period of the Tikliamishian civilization, the learned beings of the locality Maralpleicie first constated in their common psyche the special possibility of such ‘combinations,’ and began to search for ways of intentionally bringing one another into this special state, they soon understood and found the possibility of actualizing this by means of what is called ‘being-Hanbledzoïn,’ namely, that cosmic substance, the essence of which the three-brained beings of the contemporary civilization came close to understanding, and which they called ‘animal magnetism.’ Since for the explanation of the given case and also perhaps for my following explanations, you must know more in detail concerning being-Hanbledzoïn, I find it necessary before speaking further to inform you just now about this cosmic substance. Hanbledzoïn is nothing else than the ‘blood’ of the Kesdjan body of the being; just as the cosmic substances called in totality blood serve for nourishing and renewing the planetary body of the being, so also Hanbledzoïn serves in the same way for nourishing and perfecting the body Kesdjan. It is necessary to tell you that in general the quality of the composition of the blood in three-brained beings and also in the common presences of your favorites depends on the number of the being-bodies already ‘completely formed.’ Blood in the presences of three-brained beings may be composed of substances arising through the transformation of three separate independent what are called ‘general-cosmic-sources-of-actualizing.’ The substances of that part of the being-blood which is designed by Nature for serving the planetary body of the being arise by means of the transformation of substances of that planet on which the given beings are formed and exist. But the substances which are designed for serving the Kesdjan body of the being, the totality of which is called Hanbledzoïn, are obtained from the transformation of elements of other planets and of the sun itself of that system, where the given three-brained being has the place of his arising and existence. Finally, that part of the being-blood which almost everywhere is called the sacred being-Hanbledzoïn, and only on certain planets is called the ‘sacred Aiësakhaldan,’ and which part serves the highest part of the being called the soul, is formed from the direct emanations of our Most Holy Sun Absolute.” -Guirdjieff, Beelzebub’s Tales to His Grandson

Hanuman

(Sanskrit) A symbolic character in the ancient Ramayana. Hanuman, the so-called “monkey God ,” ( Hebrew Kuf ); Hanuman is the manifested animal-mind-essence of Supreme Consciousness that spiritizes all. The word Hanuman comes from :

• “Ha” is a mantra that vibrates in the head; it means ‘Supreme Spirit.’ It is also another name of Lord Shiva ( Binah ).

• Nu means ‘that which spiritizes’

• Man means ‘mind’

Hanuman is the son of Vayu, the God of air and wind, and is thus called Maruti, “son of the wind.”

Hanuman is a symbol of the human soul ( Tiphereth / Manas) who must serve Lord Rama (the bodhisattva ). Study the lecture Kuf from the Alphabet of Kabbalah course.

Harnel-miatznel

A term introduced by Gurdjieff. Composed of Hebrew harn-el, (הרן) “the singing,” with (אל) el, ” God .” And miatzn-el (מאיזון), “from balancing, harnessing” (אל) el, ” God .”

“A new arising from the previously arisen through the “Harnel-miatznel,” the process of which is actualized thus: the higher blends with the lower in order to actualize the middle and thus becomes either higher for the preceding lower, or lower for the succeeding higher.” - Gurdjieff

Harpocrates

Greek Ἁρποκράτης derived from Egyptian Har-pa-khered , “Horus the child.” An Egyptian symbol appropriated and modified by the Greeks and Romans.

“The God Harpocrates governs the energy of the Astral Light. He was the living symbol of the Sun when it was rising at the beginning of spring. Child of Isis and Osiris, he was born after the death of his father, during the shortest day of the year and during the blossoming of the lotus flower. Traditions represented him as a delicate being who did not reach his maturity save when he transformed himself into Horus, in other words, when he transformed himself into the Sun with all of its splendors. His cult was introduced in Greece and Rome with some alterations; there, he appears as the god of silence, and they represented him with the index finger over his lips.” -Samael Aun Weor, Aztec Christic Magi c

“The disciple can utilize the energies of the god Harpocrates in order to learn to travel with the physical body in the Jinn state.” - Samael Aun Weor, The Major Mysteries

Harpy

(Greek Άρπυια Harpyia, literally “thieves”) “They are disgusting witches with heads and necks of girls who were beautiful maidens in the past, but have now been transformed into horrible furies who pollute everything they touch with their foul contagion.” - Samael Aun Weor, Magic of the Runes “Here the repellent harpies make their nests, Who drove the Trojans from the Strophades With dire announcements of the coming woe. They have broad wings, with razor sharp talons and a human neck and face, Clawed feet and swollen, feathered bellies; they caw Their lamentations in the eerie trees…” - Dante, Inferno

Hashem

( Hebrew השם) “The name.” A word used in Judaism to refer to the sacred name of God , יהוה. The letters of this name hide the three mother letters of Hebrew (שם, with the א hidden in the word for הא). Interestingly, השם is the reverse of משה (Moshe, Moses).

Hashim

“The atoms carry within their interior that which the Hebrews call “Igneous Particles”, “Hashim” or “Igneous Souls”. These Igneous souls are formidable. The atoms cannot process themselves within the living constitution of matter without these Igneous Souls. Therefore, indeed, no one truly knows the power, for instance, of a few grains of dust. We can be sure that nobody knows the power which is enclosed or what it is capable of doing. The Hashim or Igneous Souls are enclosed within each atom (of Adamah ‘the dust of the ground’). The great Magicians of the east (Alchemists) know how to work with these igneous particles of the atoms, and in any situation, the atoms are impelled by these igneous particles.” - Samael Aun Weor, The Aquarian Message

Hasnamuss

Plural “hasnamussen.” A term used by Gurdjieff in reference to a person with a divided Consciousness : part of it is free and natural, and part is trapped in the ego . In synthesis, everyone who has ego is a Hasnamuss. Although there are many variations and kinds of Hasnamuss, there are generally describes four primary grades:

mortal: the common person those with the solar Astral body those with the solar bodies created fallen angels

These are described in detail by Samael Aun Weor in his lecture ” The Master Key .”

“The Twice-born who does not reduce his lunar ego to cosmic dust converts himself into an abortion of the Cosmic Mother. He becomes a Marut, and there are thousands of types of Maruts. Certain oriental sects and some Muslim tribes commit the lamentable error of rendering cult to all of those families of Maruts. Every Marut, every hasnamuss has in fact two personalities: one white and another black (one solar and another lunar). The Innermost, the Being dressed with the solar electronic bodies, is the white personality of the hasnamuss, and the pluralized “I” dressed with theprotoplasmic lunar bodies is the hasnamuss’ black personality. Therefore, these Maruts have a double center of gravity.” —Samael Aun Weor

Gurdjieff described these qualities of the Hasnamuss:

Every kind of depravity, conscious as well as unconscious The feeling of self-satisfaction from leading others astray The irresistible inclination to destroy the existence of other breathing creatures The urge to become free from the necessity of actualizing the being-efforts demanded by Nature The attempt by every kind of artificiality to conceal from others what in their opinion are one’s physical defects The calm self-contentment in the use of what is not personally deserved The striving to be not what one is.

Although the origin of this term is uncertain and has interesting meanings when analyzed in Arabic, Hebrew , etc., in Sanskrit we find Hasnamuss can be derived from हा Ha: a Sanskrit particle expressing sorrow, dejection, pain; अश्न asna: voracious, eating, consuming; or, a stone; मूष् mus: mouse, thief

Hatha Yoga

(Sanskrit) A series of exercises to stretch and loosen the physical body. Originally intended to be a form of exercise to prepare for Meditation , the common type of Hatha Yoga does not contain any exercises for the awakening of the Consciousness or the elimination of the ego . “The Yoga that we require today is actually ancient Gnostic Christian Yoga , which absolutely rejects the idea of Hatha Yoga . We do not recommend Hatha Yoga simply because, spiritually speaking, the acrobatics of this discipline are fruitless; they should be left to the acrobats of the circus.” - Samael Aun Weor, The Yellow Book “The Tantric type of Hatha Yoga is extraordinary and leads the esotericist to the realization of the Innermost Self. However, Hatha Yoga without Tantra is like a garden without water.” - Samael Aun Weor, The Doomed Aryan Race “Many pseudo-esotericists and pseudo-occultists read the literature of Sivananda. There is no doubt that this man was truly a Guru-Deva who worked intensely for this suffering humanity. I truly confess that I never liked his Hatha Yoga . This type of acrobatics always appeared to me to be quite circus-like. I never found that someone could Self-realize by converting himself into an acrobat. Nonetheless, it is well known that this said yogi profoundly worked in strict secrecy with Sex Yoga . It seems that Hatha Yoga was only a bait in order to fish within the rivers of life.” - Samael Aun Weor, The Magic of the Runes There are many forms of Yoga from India, including Karma Yoga , Bhakti Yoga , Raja Yoga , Kundalini Yoga , and more. See: Yoga .

Hebrew Alphabet

The Hebrew letters have special importance in the Jewish and Christian traditions. Primarily, every letter carries an array of meanings that are symbolic and numeric; in order to discover the meanings hidden in scriptures and names, one needs a lot of intuition and to work deeply in meditation.

""In Kabbalah we have to constantly look at the Hebrew letters.” - Samael Aun Weor, Tarot and Kabbalah

“Before all the languages of the Tower of Babel were scattered upon the face of the earth, only one language, a language of Gold, a universal idiom existed. That language has its perfect cosmic grammar. The letters of that golden language are written within all of Nature. Whosoever has studied the Nordic Runes and the Hebrew, Chinese, and Tibetan characters, will be able to intuit such a “Cosmic Language” with its enigmatic letters.” - Samael Aun Weor, Logos Mantra Theurgy

“The script of the First Root Race was written with the Runes. The mallet of Masonry comes from the arrow of the Egyptian God Ra, and this is a Rune. In that epoch, the rituals of the Polar Temple were all runic. The movements of the officials were runic. This is the divine script. Let us remember that the Swastika is a Rune. The Hebrew letters are but modifications of runic letters.” - Samael Aun Weor, The Perfect Matrimony

“The Angel Metatron, or Enoch, delivered the Tarot in which the entirety of divine wisdom is enclosed. The Tarot remains written in stone. He also left us the twenty-two letters of the Hebrew alphabet…” - Samael Aun Weor, Tarot and Kabbalah

ה ( Hebrew : He, Heh, or Hei ) The fifth letter of the Hebrew alphabet, it symbolizes the uterus, the primordial matrix or matrass; lo and behold the place where the seed reveals its generation! Its Kabbalistic value is 5.

Hekate

(Hecate; Greek Ἑκατη) Virgin goddess of the Greek mysteries, one of the symbolic aspects of the Divine Mother. She was often represented with three faces, a symbol of the eternal trinity. While always worshipped as one of the highest aspects of divinity, because she had dominion over the three worlds (heaven, earth, and hell) as demonstrated by the aid she gave to Persephone and her role in guiding the suffering souls in the underworld, some later cults used her name in reference to witchcraft and black magic, demonic interests that the Greek mysteries were steadfastly opposed to. “Tender-hearted Hekate, bright-coiffed, the daughter of Persaios.” - Homeric Hymn 2 to Demeter 19 (7th - 4th B.C.) “The only-begotten virgin (Koure mounogenes) [Hekate].” - Apollonius Rhodius, Argonautica 3. 840 (C3rd B.C.) “Hekate whom Zeus the son of Kronos honoured above all. He gave her splendid gifts, to have a share of the earth and the unfruitful sea. She received honour also in starry heaven, and is honoured exceedingly by the deathless gods … For as many as were born of Gaia (Earth) and Ouranos (Heaven) [the Titanes] amongst all these she has her due portion. The son of Kronos [Zeus] did her no wrong nor took anything away of all that was her portion among the former Titan gods: but she holds, as the division was at the first from the beginning, privilege both in earth, and in heaven, and in sea. Also, because she is an only child, the goddess receives not less honour, but much more still, for Zeus honours her.” - Hesiod, Theogony 404 (C8th or C7th B.C.) “[After Persephone was returned from the underworld to Demeter:] Then bright-coiffed Hekate came near to them, and often did she embrace the daughter of holy Demeter: and from that time the lady Hekate was minister and companion to Persephone.” - Homeric Hymn 2 to Demeter 436 As an archetype, she has similarities to other archetypes, such as Isis, which was even mentioned by Lucius Apuleius: “I am she that is the natural mother of all things, mistress and governess of all the elements, the initial progeny of worlds, chief of powers divine, Queen of heaven, the principal of the Gods celestial, the light of the goddesses: at my will the planets of the air, the wholesome winds of the Seas, and the silences of hell be disposed; my name, my divinity is adored throughout all the world in divers manners, in variable customs and in many names, […] Some call me Juno, others Bellona of the Battles, and still others Hecate. Principally the Ethiopians which dwell in the Orient, and the Egyptians which are excellent in all kind of ancient doctrine, and by their proper ceremonies accustomed to worship me, do call me Queen Isis.” - Lucius Apuleius, The Golden Ass “Proserpine, the Queen of Hell, is also Hecate, the blessed Goddess Mother Death, under whose direction the Angels of Death work. The Mother Space converted into the Mother Death loves her sons and daughters in a very odd way, for she takes them away.” - Samael Aun Weor, Tarot and Kabbalah “Suddenly, something unusual happened beyond the muddy waters of Aqueronte. The horrible door that gives access to the abode of Pluto turned upon its hinges of steel… Intensely moved, I shook myself, I forebode that something amazing had happened. I was not mistaken… I saw her, it was she, the unmanifested Kundalini . She had crossed the threshold where the lost souls abide… Magnificent Madonna, excellent, extraordinary, and terrifically divine, she approached me with a magistral step. I did not know what to do, I was confused, I simultaneously felt fear and love… A cosmic reminder? Recrimination? The Beloved One spoke with a voice from paradise. She blessed me, and then continued on her way as if she was going towards the frightful walls of the city of Dis. In those moments, from within the depth of my Consciousness , I felt that she wanted also to help the others who dwelled around that city of pain where no one can enter without just indignation…” - Samael Aun Weor, The Three Mountains

Heliogabalus Stone

A reference to the Cubic Stone of Yesod . Historically, a large black stone, a meteorite, that some describe from its image on coins and in sculpture as shaped like a bee-hive; others as phallic. This stone first appears in history atop its altar in the temple of Emesa on coins minted in the reign of Caracalla. It was taken by Varius Avitus Bassianus, Roman emperor (218-222), during his own reign, to Rome, and placed in a huge temple dedicated to it on the Palatine hill. Each summer, of the three he spent there, he led the stone in ceremonial procession, attended by musicians and dancers, to another palace in a garden at the outer edge of Rome. At the end of summer he would take it back to the Palatine. This is recorded in his coinage, as well as in the written sources. Varius was appointed priest of the sun- God Elagabal, whose name he adopted. Heliogabalus lived in Rome as an oriental despot and, giving himself up to detestable sensual pleasures, degraded the imperial office to the lowest point by most shameful vices, which had their origin in certain rites of oriental naturalistic religion.

Helios

(Greek) From the ancient Greek λιος for “sun.” Helios was a symbolic deity related to the movement and power of the Sun, depicted as as a handsome male driving a luminous chariot (the Sun). His Latin (Roman) name was Sol, from the Latin word solus, “alone,” since the Sun is self-sustaining and complete in itself; in other words, Helios represents an androgynous being, an Elohim (male and female in one, complete), like the primordial Adam. The Hebrew word Elohim is a plural word, a combination of El ( God ) and Eloah (Goddess).

“Then אלהים [Elohim] said, “Let Us [ God and Goddess] make Adam in Our image, according to Our likeness; and let [Adam] rule over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the sky and over the cattle and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.” Elohim created Adam in their own image, in the image of Elohim [they] created Adam; male and female [in other words, androgynous] Elohim created [Adam].” - Genesis 1:28

“With the Jews Adam Kadmon was the same as Athamaz, Tamaz, or the Adonis of the Greeks — “the One with, and of his father” — the “Father” becoming during the later Races Helios, the Sun, as Apollo Karneios, for instance, who was the “Sun born”…” - H.P. Blavatsky, The Secret Doctrine (1888)

Henry David Thoreau

(1817-1862) An American writer who was also versed to some degree in the secret doctrine. As he wrote in his most famous work, Walden: “In any weather, at any hour of the day or night, I have been anxious to improve the nick of time, and notch it on my stick too; to stand on the meeting of two eternities, the past and future, which is precisely the present moment; to toe that line. You will pardon some obscurities, for there are more secrets in my trade than in most men’s, and yet not voluntarily kept, but inseparable from its very nature. I would gladly tell all that I know about it, and never paint “No Admittance” on my gate.”

Hephaistos

(Greek) The Greek symbol of the sexual force, the equivalent of the Hindu Shiva or Christian Holy Spirit. He was represented as a creative and powerful craftsman who worked in the depths of Earth at a fiery forge. He was known by the Romans as Vulcan. [See Vulcan].

“Strong, mighty Hephaistos, bearing splendid light, unwearied fire, with flaming torrents bright : strong-handed, deathless, and of art divine, pure element, a portion of the world is thine : all-taming artist, all-diffusive power, ‘tis thine, supreme, all substance to devour : aither, sun, moon, and stars, light pure and clear, for these thy lucid parts [of fire] to men appear. To thee all dwellings, cities, tribes belong, diffused through mortal bodies, rich and strong. Hear, blessed power, to holy rites incline, and all propitious on the incense shine : suppress the rage of fire’s unwearied frame, and still preserve our nature’s vital flame.” - Orphic Hymn 66 to Hephaestus (3rd B.C. to 2nd A.D.)

Heptaparaparshinokh

The Law of 7; The Law of Organization. This law is visible in the seven notes of the western musical scale, the seven chakras, the seven bodies of the soul, the Seven Spirits before the Throne, etc.

‘The flow of forces follows a line that constantly deflects at specific intervals and unites again at its ends. According to this primordial sacred cosmic law, the line of the flow of forces has seven points of deflection or, as is otherwise said, seven ‘centers of gravity,’ and the distance between two consecutive points of deflection, or ‘centers of gravity,’ is called a ‘stopinder of the sacred Heptaparaparshinokh.’ “The complete process of this sacred law, acting through everything newly arising and existing, is always made up of seven stopinders.’ - Gurdjieff

Herakles

Also Heracles or Hercules (Greek Ἡρακλῆς) from Hera, “protectress,” (that has an intimate etymological relation with Eros - Love - the Son of the Divine Mother Aphrodite), related to heros “hero,” originally “defender, protector.” And kleos “glory or aura.” Therefore Herakles means “the aura or glory of Hera” or the “aura or glory of Eros.” The Greek symbol of the Christ.

“Heracles (the Cosmic Christ), the son of Jupiter (IO Peter) and Alcmene, performed the Twelve Labors.” - Samael Aun Weor, Tarot and Kabbalah

Hercolubus

“An unusual event is going to accelerate the process of swift change to the axis of the planet Earth. I am referring to the planet Hercolubus. This planet is six times bigger than the planet Jupiter. The planet Hercolubus belongs to the distant solar system of Tylo. The solar system of Tylo is rapidly approaching our solar system, and Hercolubus is rapidly approaching Earth. Modern Astronomers have before their sight the planet Hercolubus, or as it is known by modern science, the Barnard star. This planet is a powerful giant that will pass through an angle of our solar system. When this happens, the revolution of the axis of the planet Earth will accelerate violently. Then the final catastrophe will occur. Some scientists believe that they will be able to push this monstrous planet away with nuclear explosions, but this will be useless. It will be impossible to push this tremendous mass of a planet out of the way with mere nuclear bombs. This same planet brought Atlantis to an end. Before Atlantis existed, it annihilated the existence of another continent. We know very well that the continent of Mu or Lemuria sank within the waters of the boisterous pacific ocean after 10,000 years of earthquakes and incessant volcanic eruptions.” - Samael Aun Weor, The Aquarian Message

Hermanubis

(Greek) The revealer of mysteries of the lower world, not of hell or hades, but of our Earth (the lowest world in the chain of worlds), and also of the sexual mysteries. He was always represented with a cross in his hand, one of the earliest symbols of generation or procreation.

Hermaphrodite

(Greek) In the pure esoteric tradition (not the modern, degenerated remnants), hermaphrodite means “a son of Hermes and Aphrodite” (Herm-Aphrodite), one who physically develops the brain power, objective reasoning (Hermes) by means of the transmutation of its own sexual libido (Aphrodite). Physically, hermaphrodite refers to the human being of the Lemurian epoch, who developed both male and female sexual organs and characteristics in the physical body and who was capable of self proliferating its species without the necessity of sexual intercourse. Thus, a true hermaphrodite is a human being who physically produces sperm and ovum within their masculine-feminine sexual genitalia. In order to create, they fecundate themselves (in a manner similar to other hermaphrodite creatures); they physically unite the outcome of their own two sexual polarities (sperm and ovum) by means of willpower.

“Let us clarify here that when we talk about hermaphrodites, we are talking about perfect androgynous beings, and not about those degenerated homosexuals of this day and age.” - Samael Aun Weor, Kabbalah of the Mayan Mysteries

Hermes Trismesgistus

Hermes Trismegistus (Greek: Ἑρμῆς ὁ Τρισμέγιστος, “thrice-great Hermes”; Latin: Mercurius ter Maximus)

“Hermes Trismegistus, that thrice great god, the real incarnation of the god Osiris, gave us the marvellous science of Alchemy.” - Samael Aun Weor, The Mysteries of Life and Death

“HERMES Trismegistus, (who was the author of the divine Pymander and some other books,) lived some time before Moses. He received the name of Trismegistus, or Mercurius ter Maximus, i. e. thrice greatest Intelligencer, because he was the first intelligencer who communicated celestial and divine knowledge to mankind by writing. He was reported to have been king of Egypt; without doubt he was an Egyptian; nay, if you believe the Jews, even their Moses; and for the justification of this they urge, 1st, His being well skilled in chemistry; nay, the first who communicated that art to the sons of men; 2dly, They urge the philosophic work, viz. of rendering gold medicinal, or, finally, of the art of making aurum potabile; and, thirdly, of teaching the Cabala, which they say was shewn him by God on Mount Sinai: for all this is confessed to be originally written in Hebrew, which he would not have done had he not been an Hebrew, but rather in his vernacular tongue. But whether he was Moses or not, it is certain he was an Egyptian, even as Moses himself also was; and therefore for the age he lived in, we shall not fall short of the time if we conclude he flourished much about the time of Moses; and if he really was not the identical Moses, affirmed to be so by many, it is more than probable that he was king of Egypt; for being chief philosopher, he was, according to the Egyptian custom, initiated into the mysteries of priesthood, and from thence to the chief governor or king. He was called Ter Maximus, as having a perfect knowledge of all things contained in the world (as his Aureus, or Golden Tractate, and his Divine Pymander shews) which things he divided into three kingdoms, viz. animal, vegetable, and mineral; in the knowledge and comprehension of which three he excelled and transmitted to posterity, in enigmas and symbols, the profound secrets of nature; likewise a true description of the Philosopher’s Quintessence, or Universal Elixir, which he made as the receptacle of all celestial and terrestrial virtues. The Great Secret of the philosophers he discoursed on, which was found engraven upon a Smaragdine table, in the valley of Ebron.” - Quoted from The Magus by Francis Barrett (London, 1801)

“Iamblichus averred that Hermes was the author of twenty thousand books; Manetho increased the number to more than thirty-six thousand (see James Gardner)—figures which make it evident that a solitary individual, even though he be overshadowed by divine prerogative, could scarcely have accomplished such a monumental labor. Among the arts and sciences which it is affirmed Hermes revealed to mankind were medicine, chemistry, law, arc, astrology, music, rhetoric, Magic, philosophy, geography, mathematics (especially geometry), anatomy, and oratory. Orpheus was similarly acclaimed by the Greeks. In his Biographia Antiqua, Francis Barrett says of Hermes: “if God ever appeared in man, he appeared in him, as is evident both from his books and his Pymander; in which works he has communicated the sum of the Abyss, and the divine knowledge to all posterity; by which he has demonstrated himself to have been not only an inspired divine, but also a deep philosopher, obtaining his wisdom from God and heavenly things, and not from man.” His transcendent learning caused Hermes to be identified with many of the early sages and prophets. In his Ancient Mythology, Bryant writes: “I have mentioned that Cadmus was the same as the Egyptian Thoth; and it is manifest from his being Hermes, and from the invention of letters being attributed to him.” (In the chapter on the theory of Pythagorean Mathematics will be found the table of the original Cadmean letters.) Investigators believe that it was Hermes who was known to the Jews as “Enoch,” called by Kenealy the “Second Messenger of God.” Hermes was accepted into the mythology of the Greeks, later becoming the Mercury of the Latins. He was revered through the form of the planet Mercury because this body is nearest to the sun: Hermes of all creatures was nearest to God, and became known as the Messenger of the Gods. “In the Egyptian drawings of him, Thoth carries a waxen writing tablet and serves as the recorder during the weighing of the souls of the dead in the judgment Hall of Osiris—a ritual of great significance. Hermes is of first importance to Masonic scholars, because he was the author of the Masonic initiatory rituals, which were borrowed from the Mysteries established by Hermes. Nearly all of the Masonic symbols are Hermetic in character. Pythagoras studied mathematics with the Egyptians and from them gained his knowledge of the symbolic geometric solids. Hermes is also revered for his reformation of the calendar system. He increased the year from 360 to 365 days, thus establishing a precedent which still prevails. The appellation “Thrice Greatest” was given to Hermes because he was considered the greatest of all philosophers, the greatest of all priests, and the greatest of all kings. It is worthy of note that the last poem of America’s beloved poet, Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, was a lyric ode to Hermes. On the subject of the Hermetic books, James Campbell Brown, in his History of Chemistry, has written: “Leaving the Chaldean and earliest Egyptian periods, of which we have remains but no record, and from which no names of either chemists or philosophers have come down to us, we now approach the Historic Period, when books were written, not at first upon parchment or paper, but upon papyrus. A series of early Egyptian books is attributed to Hermes Trismegistus, who may have been a real savant, or may be a personification of a long succession of writers. He is identified by some with the Greek god Hermes, and the Egyptian Thoth or Tuti, who was the moon-god, and is represented in ancient paintings as ibis-headed with the disc and crescent of the moon. The Egyptians regarded him as the god of wisdom, letters, and the recording of time. It is in consequence of the great respect entertained for Hermes by the old alchemists that chemical writings were called ‘hermetic,’ and that the phrase ‘hermetically sealed’ is still in use to designate the closing of a glass vessel by fusion, after the manner of chemical manipulators. We find the same root in the hermetic medicines of Paracelsus, and the hermetic freemasonry of the Middle Ages.” Among the fragmentary writings believed to have come from the stylus of Hermes are two famous works. The first is the Emerald Table , and the second is the Divine Pymander, or, as it is more commonly called, The Shepherd of Men, a discussion of which follows. One outstanding point in connection with Hermes is that he was one of the few philosopher-priests of pagandom upon whom the early Christians did not vent their spleen. Some Church Fathers went so far as to declare that Hermes exhibited many symptoms of intelligence, and that if he had only been born in a more enlightened age so that he might have benefited by their instructions he would have been a really great man! In his Stromata, Clement of Alexandria, one of the few chroniclers of pagan lore whose writings have been preserved to this age, gives practically all the information that is known concerning the original forty-two books of Hermes and the importance with which these books were regarded by both the temporal and spiritual powers of Egypt. Clement describes one of their ceremonial processions as follows: “For the Egyptians pursue a philosophy of their own. This is principally shown by their sacred ceremonial. For first advances the Singer, bearing some one of the symbols of music. For they say that he must learn two of the books of Hermes, the one of which contains the hymns of the gods, the second the regulations for the king’s life. And after the Singer advances the Astrologer, with a horologe in his hand, and a palm, the symbols of astrology. He must have the astrological books of Hermes, which are four in number, always in his mouth. Of these, one is about the order of the fixed stars that are visible, and another about the conjunctions and luminous appearances of the sun and moon; and the rest respecting their risings. Next in order advances the sacred Scribe, with wings on his head, and in his hand a book and rule, in which were writing ink and the reed, with which they write. And he must be acquainted with what are called hieroglyphics, and know about cosmography and geography, the position of the sun and moon, and about the five planets; also the description of Egypt, and the chart of the Nile; and the description of the equipment of the priests and of the place consecrated to them, and about the measures and the things in use in the sacred rites. Then the Stole-keeper follows those previously mentioned, with the cubit of justice and the cup for libations. He is acquainted with all points called Pædeutic (relating to training) and Moschophaltic (sacrificial). There are also ten books which relate to the honour paid by them to their gods, and containing the Egyptian worship; as that relating to sacrifices, first-fruits, hymns, prayers, processions, festivals, and the like. And behind all walks the Prophet, with the water-vase carried openly in his arms; who is followed by those who carry the issue of loaves. He, as being the governor of the temple, learns the ten books called ‘Hieratic’; and they contain all about the laws, and the gods, and the whole of the training of the priests. For the Prophet is, among the Egyptians, also over the distribution of the revenues. There are then forty-two books of Hermes indispensably necessary; of which the six-and-thirty containing the whole philosophy of the Egyptians are learned by the forementioned personages; and the other six, which are medical, by the Pastophoroi (image-bearers),—treating of the structure of the body, and of disease, and instruments, and medicines, and about the eyes, and the last about women. One of the greatest tragedies of the philosophic world was the loss of nearly all of the forty-two books of Hermes mentioned in the foregoing. These books disappeared during the burning of Alexandria, for the Romans—and later the Christians—realized that until these books were eliminated they could never bring the Egyptians into subjection. The volumes which escaped the fire were buried in the desert and their location is now known to only a few initiates of the secret schools. THE BOOK OF THOTH While Hermes still walked the earth with men, he entrusted to his chosen successors the sacred Book of Thoth. This work contained the secret processes by which the regeneration of humanity was to be accomplished and also served as the key to his other writings. Nothing definite is known concerning the contents of the Book of Thoth other than that its pages were covered with strange hieroglyphic figures and symbols, which gave to those acquainted with their use unlimited power over the spirits of the air and the subterranean divinities. When certain areas of the brain are stimulated by the secret processes of the Mysteries, the consciousness of man is extended and he is permitted to behold the Immortals and enter into the presence of the superior gods. The Book of Thoth described the method whereby this stimulation was accomplished. In truth, therefore, it was the “Key to Immortality.” According to legend, the Book of Thoth was kept in a golden box in the inner sanctuary of the temple. There was but one key and this was in the possession of the “Master of the Mysteries,” the highest initiate of the Hermetic Arcanum. He alone knew what was written in the secret book. The Book of Thoth was lost to the ancient world with the decay of the Mysteries, but its faithful initiates carried it sealed in the sacred casket into another land. The book is still in existence and continues to lead the disciples of this age into the presence of the Immortals. No other information can be given to the world concerning it now, but the apostolic succession from the first hierophant initiated by Hermes himself remains unbroken to this day, and those who are peculiarly fitted to serve the Immortals may discover this priceless document if they will search sincerely and tirelessly for it. It has been asserted that the Book of Thoth is, in reality, the mysterious Tarot of the Bohemians —a strange emblematic book of seventy-eight leaves which has been in possession of the gypsies since the time when they were driven from their ancient temple, the Serapeum. (According to the Secret Histories the gypsies were originally Egyptian priests.) There are now in the world several secret schools privileged to initiate candidates into the Mysteries, but in nearly every instance they lighted their altar fires from the flaming torch of Herm. Hermes in his Book of Thoth revealed to all mankind the “One Way,” and for ages the wise of every nation and every faith have reached immortality by the “Way” established by Hermes in the midst of the darkness for the redemption of humankind.” - Manly P. Hall, The Secret Teachings of All Ages

Hermes

Greek Ἑρμῆς from ἕρμα herma, “block of stone, or stone pile.” The name Hermes comes from ερμενηυς Hermeneus, which means “the interpreter.” In Greek mythology, Hermes was the messenger of the gods. Hermes was known for his quality of speech, was a powerful speaker and could convince people. In other words, Hermes is related with the Word, or what in Greek is called λόγος, the Logos. Hermes conveys the knowledge and wisdom of the gods to the other gods and to human kind, and even into hell.

“Zeus who masses the clouds made answer… turned to his dear son Hermes: ‘Hermes, you are always our messenger.’” - Homer, Odyssey (8th century B.C.) “Glorious Hermes, the herald of the deathless gods (keryx athanaton)…” - Hesiod, Theogony (8th or 7th century B.C.)

Hermes is also a symbol of that force of divinity that guides those who have died; he guides the dead to their next residence. He also guides souls out of the lower realms.

“Zeus himself… commanded that glorious Hermes… should be the appointed messenger to Haides…” - Homeric Hymn 4 to Hermes (7th to 4th century B.C.) “The winged Herald [Hermes] visits Tartarus as ordered [by Zeus, to recover Persephone from Haides], returns quicker than hope…” - Ovid, Fasti (1st century B.C. to C1st A.D.)

All of us here, who are suffering in the lower worlds, need the help of Hermes Mercury if we are to get out. The Greeks said that Hermes invented fire. In this sense, he is exactly the same as Prometheus, who delivered fire to mankind. Study a lecture about Hermes: Mercury, Hermes

Hesperides

Greek Ἑσπερίδες, “daughters of the evening.” Three divine ladies who, accompanied by a divine serpent, protect the treasures of the gods, including golden apples. They are also heralds of the wedding night, and serve ambrosia to the gods.

Hetairae

Greek ἑταίρα. Courtesans, companions, elite women in ancient Greek society.

“We can recall (in Greece) the priestesses of love, the Hetairas (ἑταίρα). They were sacred in the most complete sense of the word, and knew how to administer that which is called “love,” and men had to be obedient to them.” - Samael Aun Weor, Woman’s Saintly Predestination

Hierarch

The High Priest, one who occupies a position of authority in a religious hierarchy.

Hierophant

From Greek (Hierophantes) High Priest, Judge or Interpreter of sacred mysteries or arcane knowledge.

Hinayana

From Sanskrit and Pali, a term used incorrectly to describe the introductory level of spiritual instruction, and is often mistranslated to mean “smaller vehicle.” The Sanskrit components are yana, “vehicle” and hina “despicable,” thus the literal definition is “vehicle of despicable quality.” This is a very disparaging, rude term used by opponents of a long lost school of Buddhism. That school was ridiculed because it focused only on the introductory aspects of the teaching, thus the term has been associated with the modern introductory schools, properly called Sutrayana, Theravada, Shravakayana, or Foundational Vehicle. “According to Hinayana, the so-called “Smaller vehicle,” whose practitioners seek nirvana for their own sake, the mind should be trained to exercise a will strong enough to renounce samsara. The practitioner should pursue religious ethics and simultaneously practice meditative absorption and insight so that delusion and its seeds may be purged, ultimately, never to grow again. Thus, we attain nirvana.” - The 14th Dalai Lama In other words, the Introductory Path is concerned only with oneself. In the next two phases of instruction (Mahayana and Tantrayana), the focus shifts towards benefitting others.

Hiram Abiff

A biblical personage; a skillful builder and architect whom King Solomon procured from Tyre for the purpose of supervising the construction of the Temple. According to the Masonic story, Hiram Abiff was murdered by three traitors who were subsequently found by twenty-seven Master Masons.

Hod

( Hebrew הוד means glory, majesty, splendor) The eighth sephirah of the Tree of Life . The Astral World or Astral body . ” Hod is the Astral World, the Astral body . The Astral World is governed by the Moon. This is why astral projections become easier during the crescent moon and a little bit more arduous during the waning moon.” - Samael Aun Weor, Tarot and Kabbalah Correspondences:

Holy Grail

Both historically, as the famous cup that passed through the hands of Jesus of Nazareth, and symbolically, as the sacred, symbolic vessel of the Mysteries, Samael Aun Weor wrote extensively about the Grail. Notable chapters are to be found in The Great Rebellion and The Three Mountains. As a symbol, the cup represents both the woman and her sexual organs, just as the Spear or Lance represents the man or phallus.

Holy Spirit

The Christian name for the third aspect of the Holy Trinity, or ” God .” This force has other names in other religions. In Kabbalah , the third sephirah, Binah . In Buddhism, it is related to Nirmanakaya, the “body of formation” through which the inner Buddha works in the world. “The Holy Spirit is the Fire of Pentecost or the fire of the Holy Spirit called Kundalini by the Hindus, the igneous serpent of our magical powers, Holy Fire symbolized by Gold…” - Samael Aun Weor, The Perfect Matrimony “It has been said in The Divine Comedy with complete clarity that the Holy Spirit is the husband of the Divine Mother. Therefore, the Holy Spirit unfolds himself into his wife, into the Shakti of the Hindus. This must be known and understood. Some, when they see that the Third Logos is unfolded into the Divine Mother Kundalini , or Shakti, She that has many names, have believed that the Holy Spirit is feminine, and they have been mistaken. The Holy Spirit is masculine, but when He unfolds Himself into She, then the first ineffable Divine Couple is formed, the Creator Elohim, the Kabir, or Great Priest, the Ruach Elohim, that in accordance to Moses, cultivated the waters in the beginning of the world.” - Samael Aun Weor, Tarot and Kabbalah “The Primitive Gnostic Christians worshipped the lamb, the fish and the white dove as symbols of the Holy Spirit.” - Samael Aun Weor, The Perfect Matrimony See: Power of Tongues

Hou Ji

Chinese hero, also called Qi ( 棄 ), “abandoned”.

“According to the Chinese, the god 后稷 Hou Ji (the Adam-Christ) was born at midnight, on the fourth day of the tenth moon. Precisely at twelve years old, the virgin 姜嫄 Jiang Yuan, while walking along the shore of the river (the seminal liquid), conceived the Christ in her womb while placing her foot on the print of the Great Man.” - Samael Aun Weor, Alchemy and Kabbalah in the Tarot

Hua Tou

Chinese, “critical phrase” or “head of a word” indicating the source from which thought emerges (compare with the Greek Logos , which means the same thing). Hua Tuo is known in Korean as hwadu, and in Japanese as wato. Hua Tou is an approach to Meditation that emerged from Chinese Buddhism in the twelfth century. In this method, one mentally posits an unanswerable question, continually, without engaging the intellect, while maintaining sincere interest in answering the question. Example Hua Tuos include, “Where was I before birth? Where shall I be after death?”, “If you return your bones to your father and your flesh to your mother, where, then, would you be?”, “Which is your original face?”, and “What is Wu?” or simply, “Wu.” There are two Chinese words wu: 1. “not, no, nothing, emptiness.” 2. “enlightenment, to awaken to the fact, to understand.” Samael Aun Weor wrote of the Hua Tou method in his books The Doomed Aryan Race , Parsifal Unveiled , and Gnostic Magic of the Runes . Tie Shan wrote: […] “I then went to see Hsueh Yen and I followed his instructions about the way to meditate on the word Wu. On the fourth night, perspiration surged from my whole body, and so I felt comfortable and light. I remained in the Meditation hall, concentrated, without exchanging a word with anyone. Afterwards, I saw Miao Kao Feng who told me to continue meditating on the word Wu without rest day or night. When I got up, before dawn, the Hua Tou (the purpose of the word Wu, the essence of this phrase) immediately presented itself before me. As soon as I had some drowsiness I came down off of my seat. The Hua Tou (that is to say the word Wu) accompanied me while I walked, while I prepared the bed or the food, when I took the spoon or when I put aside the chopsticks. It was with me all the time, in all my activities, day and night. If one succeeds in fusing one’s mind into a continuous and homogeneous whole, enlightenment is assured.” - Samael Aun Weor, Parsifal Unveiled

Huehueteotl

The Aztec God of Fire. This deity is related with the Kabbalistic Kether , the ancient of days and Lord of the Fire of the Fire (Chrestos).

Human Being

Although the words human or human being are used generally to refer to the people of this planet, the real meaning of the word human is far more demanding. Human is derived from Latin humanus “of man, human,” also “humane, philanthropic, kind, gentle, polite; learned, refined, civilized.” In classical philosophy, we are not yet human beings, but have the potential to become so. A famous illustration of this is the story of Diogenes wandering around crowded Athens during this day with an illuminated lantern, searching for “anthropos” (a real human being), yet failing to find even one. In general, there are three types of human beings:

The ordinary person (called human being out of respect), more accurately called the “intellectual animal.”

The true human being or man (from Sanskrit manas , mind): someone who has created the soul (the solar bodies), symbolized as the chariot of Ezekiel or Krishna, the Wedding Garment of Jesus, the sacred weapons of the heroes of mythology, etc. Such persons are saints, masters, or buddhas of various levels.

The superhuman: a true human being who has also incarnated the Cosmic Christ, thus going beyond mere sainthood or buddhahood, and into the highest reaches of liberation. These are the founders of religions, the destroyers of dogmas and traditions, the great rebels of spiritual light.

According to Gnostic anthropology, a true human being is an individual who has conquered the animal nature within and has thus created the soul, the Mercabah of the Kabbalists, the Sahu of the Egyptians, the To Soma Heliakon of the Greeks: this is “the Body of Gold of the Solar Man.” A true human being is one with the Monad, the Inner Spirit. It can be said that the true human being or man is the inner Spirit (in Kabbalah , Chesed . In Hinduism, Atman).

“Every spirit is called man, which means that only the aspect of the light of the spirit that is enclothed within the body is called man. So the body of the spirit of the holy side is only a covering; in other words, the spirit is the actual essence of man and the body is only its covering. But on the other side, the opposite applies. This is why it is written: “you have clothed me with skin and flesh…” (Iyov 10:11). The flesh of man is only a garment covering the essence of man, which is the spirit. Everywhere it is written the flesh of man, it hints that the essence of man is inside. The flesh is only a vestment for man, a body for him, but the essence of man is the aspect of his spirit.” — Zohar 1A:10:120

A true human being has reconquered the innocence and perfection of Eden, and has become what Adam was intended to be: a king or queen of nature, having power over nature. The intellectual animal, however, is controlled by nature, and thus is not a true human being. Examples of true human beings are all those great saints of all ages and cultures: Jesus, Moses, Mohammed, Krishna, and many others whose names were never known by the public.

Human Soul

“The Being, the Innermost of each one of us, has Twin Souls: the Spiritual and the Human Souls. In the ordinary intellectual animal, the Being, the Innermost, is not born, does not die, is not reincarnated, but it does send the Essence to each new personality. The Essence is a fraction of the Human Soul, the Buddhata… We can and must affirm, beyond all doubt, that only a fraction of the Human Soul lives within the Lunar Bodies. This fraction is the Essence, the psychic material that creates a Soul, develops the Human Soul, and thereby the Spiritual Soul. The Monad, the Being, creates, fabricates, develops his two Souls, and these Souls must serve and obey him. We must distinguish between Monads and Souls. A Monad, in other words, a Spirit, is. A Soul is acquired.” - Samael Aun Weor, Practical Astrology

“The Innermost [Atman] is the Sephirah Chesed , and Buddhi [Buddhi] is the Sephirah Geburah . The Innermost and Buddhi express themselves through the Human Soul. The Human Soul [Manas] is Tiphereth , willpower, beauty.” - Samael Aun Weor, Tarot and Kabbalah

“Atman unfolds Himself into the Spiritual Soul. The Spiritual Soul unfolds into the Human Soul who is the Superior Manas; the Human Soul unfolds into the Essence, or Buddhata.” - Samael Aun Weor, Tarot and Kabbalah

“Every elemental Essence can convert itself into a human soul, at its time and hour, and according to the law.” - Samael Aun Weor, The Gnostic Bible: The Pistis Sophia Unveiled

From the Human Soul descends the percentage of free Consciousness that enters into manifestation in a physical body. That Essence is only a fraction of the Human Soul. The Human Soul is incarnated in the Human Being when the initiate enters into the world of Tiphereth in the Fifth Initiation of Major Mysteries.

Hurucan

Mayan deity responsible for the creation of heaven and earth, along with Gugumatz, according to the Popol Vuh. See: Gugumatz and Popol Vuh.

Hydrogen

From Greek hydr-, stem of hydor “water” + French -gène “producing,” from gen: generate, genes, genesis, genetic, etc. Hydrogen is the simplest element on the periodic table, and is the building block of all forms of matter. Hydrogen is a packet of solar light. The solar light (the light that comes from the sun) is the reflection of the cosmic solar intelligence, the Okidanok, the Cosmic Christ, which creates and sustains every world. Hydrogen is “fecundated water, generated water” (hydro). The water is the source of all life. Everything that we eat, breathe and all of the impressions that we receive are in the form of various structures of hydrogen. “It is urgent to know that there are twelve fundamental basic hydrogens in the universe. The twelve basic hydrogens are arranged in tiers in accordance with the twelve categories of matter. The twelve categories of matter exist in all creation; let us remember the twelve salts of the zodiac, the twelve spheres of cosmic vibration within which a solar humanity must be developed. All the secondary hydrogens, whose varied densities go from 6 to 12283, are derived from the twelve basic hydrogens. In Gnosticism, the term hydrogen has a very extensive significance. Indeed, any simple element is hydrogen of a certain density. Hydrogen 384 is found in water, 192 in the air, while 96 is wisely deposited in the animal magnetism, emanations of the human body, X-rays, hormones, vitamins, etc.” - Samael Aun Weor, Light from Darkness “…hydrogen in itself is the first emanation of the universal primordial matter (Mulaprakriti).” - Samael Aun Weor, Cosmic Teachings of a Lama “Every substance is transformed into a specific type of hydrogen. Thus, just as the substances and life forms are infinite, likewise the hydrogens are infinite.” - Samael Aun Weor, The Perfect Matrimony Samael Aun Weor will place a note (Do, Re, Mi…) and a number related with the vibration and atomic weight (level of complexity) with a particular hydrogen. For example, he constantly refers to the Hydrogen Si-12. “Si” is the highest note in the octave and it is the result of the notes that come before it. This particular hydrogen is always related to the forces of Yesod , which is the synthesis and coagulation of all food, air and impressions that we have previously received. Food begins at Do-768, air begins at Do-384, and impressions begin at Do-48. “In all the elements of Nature, in every chemical substance, in every fruit, exists its corresponding type of Hydrogen, and the Hydrogen of sex is Si-12… Within the seven notes of the musical scale, all the biological and physiological processes are carried out, and the final result is that marvelous elixir called semen [sexual energy, regardless of gender]. The process is initiated with the note Do from the moment in which the food enters the mouth, and continues with the notes Re-Mi-Fa-Sol-La, and when the musical Si resounds, the extraordinary elixir called semen is already prepared.” - Samael Aun Weor, Practical Astrology For more understanding see chapters and lectures related to The Pancatattva Ritual and The Transformation of Impressions .

Hyle

Primordial matter. “The elements are made out of hyle and every element is converted into the nature of another element.” - Roger Bacon

Hyperborean Root Race

The second Root Race of this terrestrial humanity.

A nation mentioned in Greek mythology. The name means “beyond the North Wind,” thus they are supposed to have been somewhere north of Greece, but the name also means “beyond the mountains” and “those who carry (merchandise) across.” Apollo was said to spend the winter months among them, and his mother Leto was presumed to have been born in their land. Perseus went there searching for the Gorgon, and Heracles chased the Cerynitian hind to their country. The writer Pindar represented them as a blessed people untouched by human afflictions. H. P. Blavatsky places their country around the North Pole, saying it was “The Land of the Eternal Sun,” beyond Boreas, the God of Winter. She asserts that this land was of a near tropical climate. In Universal Gnosticism, they are known to be the Second Root Race of this Terrestrial humanity.

“The second Root Race was governed by Quetzalcoatl; this was the Hyperborean humanity. The degenerated people of the second Root Race converted themselves into monkeys; these are the ancestors of present monkeys. They reproduced themselves by budding, such as the plants do: from their trunk sprout many branches. They were wiped out by strong hurricanes.” - Samael Aun Weor, The Kabbalah of the Mayan Mysteries

Hypnosis, Hypnotism, and Suggestion

From Greek Ὕπνος hypnos, “sleep” + osis “condition.” The Greek symbol Hypnos lived in total darkness with Thanatos (death), and the Oneiroi (dreams), thereby representing the state of consciousness of humanity: sleeping, lacking the light of the Sun (Christ), and surrounded by dreams and death. Thus, hypnos is a totally appropriate root for the word hypnosis, which takes advantage of the sleeping consciousness of people in order to manipulate them. The purpose of all genuine religions and mystical traditions is to awaken humanity from its state of sleep. Hypnosis is contrary to that necessity, since hypnosis perpetuates and manipulates the state of the sleeping consciousness. Hypnotists are famous for making their subjects dance like puppets or behave like animals; these grotesque displays crudely illustrate the potential power of the hypnotists, and their lack of ethical values. There are people who utilize hypnotism in order to perform criminal deeds. A hypnotist can give hypnotize a person, placing them into a hypnotic trance, in order to give them “a mental suggestion.” The hypnotist can mentally suggest to a passive person and command him to execute a crime. Later on, that person, without knowing where or why, goes and executes the command given by the hypnotist. This is how horrendous and frightful crimes have been committed. In former times, this was called sorcery, while the modern term is hypnosis. This is but one example of how hypnosis is very dangerous. Hypnotists often claim that hypnosis can be theraputic or spiritual, yet this is impossible, since the sleeping consciousness of the subject is a 100% negative, subjective state of consciousness. Spiritual and psychological awakening is the opposite, defined by radically abandoning the sleeping states of consciousness to instead develop intense, penetrating, clear self-awareness and the capability to sustain it. Hypnosis is unethical, deceptive, and a form of black magic. Black magic includes any attempt to control the will of another person.

“No one has the right to violate the free will of others. No one has the right to exercise coaction upon the mind of others because this is black magic. The ones that are guilty of this grave error are all of those mistaken authors that are everywhere. All of those books of hypnotism , magnetism and suggestion are books of black magic. Whosoever does not know how to respect the free will of others is a black magician; those who perform mental works [hypnosis] in order to violently dominate the mind of others convert themselves into perverse demons. These people separate themselves from the Innermost and they crumble into the abyss.” -Samael Aun Weor, Tarot and Kabbalah

Hypostasis

(from Ancient Greek ὑπόστασις ‘sediment, foundation’ and later ‘substance, existence, essence’, from ὑπό + στάσις ‘standing’) In the secret teachings, the essential perfect realization and union of the human and divine natures (Bodhichitta and bodhisattva ) within a Buddha of Compassion.
